Deadly Escape Achievement Checklist

All 13 Steam achievements — conditions, tips, and a tickable tracker for completion runs.

Last updated:

Deadly Escape on Steam includes 13 achievements published by Ominous Entertainment. Most unlock naturally during a first playthrough if you explore thoroughly, use multiple weapons, and attempt the boss fight. A few require deliberate routing—stockpiling medkits, farming undead kills with specific guns, or triggering the Game Over screen on purpose. This page lists every achievement name, explains how to earn it, and provides an interactive checklist below so you can track progress without constantly opening the Steam overlay.

Important: This checklist is a fan wiki tool for the PC Steam release (app 649450). It is not related to Roblox or any mobile port. Steam alone grants achievements when conditions are met.

Global Steam statistics show Oh No!, Raw Meat, and Getting Started among the most common unlocks, while Never saw it coming, Green Rain, and I Will Survive trend rarer—usually because players finish the campaign without rifle kill farming or boss preparation.

Early combat milestones

Oh No! pops the moment you kill any undead enemy. It is almost unavoidable during the opening infirmary sequence. Getting Started requires ten total undead kills across any weapons—simply playing normally should clear it before the mid-chapter corridors.

That Was Close demands ten handgun kills specifically. Ammo is scarce, so prioritize pistol shots on weak enemies in early rooms instead of switching to melee or other guns immediately. If you reach mid-game with fewer than ten pistol kills, backtrack to areas with respawning or remaining walkers before picking up heavier weapons exclusively.

Weapon and exploration achievements

Ready for Action unlocks when you pick up the rifle. Consult our Weapons hub and Getting Started guide for routing hints if you worry about missing the pickup during a no-save sprint.

Never saw it coming needs twenty rifle kills—double the handgun quota. Plan a mid-game segment where you deliberately clear corridors with rifle ammo after Ready for Action unlocks. Stay Away! requires ten shotgun kills; the shotgun appears later, so switch to it for clustered enemies to finish both weapon goals in one pass.

Green Rain tracks ten kills caused by explosive barrels. Look for red barrels in chokepoints and lure undead into blast radius before shooting. Environmental kills count even if you weaken targets with another weapon first, as long as the barrel delivers the finishing blow.

Kill count totals

Survivalist (20 undead) and Nightmares (30 undead) measure cumulative kills regardless of weapon. They overlap with weapon-specific goals—every rifle kill also advances totals. By chapter end, active players usually earn Survivalist organically; if you are short, revisit earlier areas or spend time in horde-heavy rooms before triggering progression events.

Story and survival objectives

I See The Light triggers when you successfully power the generator—a key puzzle milestone. Follow document clues and backtrack paths noted in our walkthrough sections if you stall here.

Ouch requires using five medkits across the campaign. Do not hoard healing items for a hypothetical harder fight; intentional healing near safe rooms helps reach the count. Conversely, if you are near the end with only three uses, take deliberate damage in safer rooms to consume remaining kits before the finale.

I Will Survive is awarded for defeating the first boss. Stock ammo and healing beforehand, learn attack tells, and treat the fight as a resource checkpoint. This is among the least common 100% profile achievements because under-prepared players restart chapters.

Raw Meat unlocks the first time you see the Game Over screen. Ironically, dying once helps completionists. If you finish the game without ever dying, load an earlier save or intentionally fail a fight to pop the achievement, then resume your main run.

Planning a 100% run

A typical completionist playthrough lasts roughly 1.5 hours according to community profiles—longer if you backtrack for Green Rain or rifle kill quotas. Suggested order:

  1. Play normally through early rooms with handgun focus for That Was Close.
  2. Grab the rifle (Ready for Action) and shift to rifle kills toward Never saw it coming.
  3. Collect shotgun and finish Stay Away! in dense enemy areas.
  4. Lure groups to barrels for Green Rain before leaving each zone permanently.
  5. Use medkits steadily for Ouch.
  6. Power the generator (I See The Light) and defeat the boss (I Will Survive).
  7. If Raw Meat is missing, die once before or after the boss attempt.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many achievements are in Deadly Escape?

Thirteen. They are listed in the table above and in the interactive checklist tool on this page.

What is the hardest achievement to unlock?

Community stats suggest Never saw it coming (20 rifle kills), Green Rain (10 barrel kills), and I Will Survive (first boss) unlock less often than early combat milestones.

Can I miss achievements in a single playthrough?

Most can be earned in one run with planning. Raw Meat requires dying once. Weapon kill quotas may need backtracking if you overuse one gun early.

Does the checklist save to my Steam account?

No. The wiki checklist is a local tracking aid. Only Steam records official achievement unlocks.

Is this the Roblox Deadly Escape achievement list?

No. These 13 achievements belong to the Steam PC game by Ominous Entertainment, not any Roblox experience.
